Richard Miller writes about dāna in the spring edition of the Yoga Bridge.
This article explores Dāna, the practice of generosity in Buddhist and Yogic traditions. More than giving material support, Dāna is about offering freely… whether it’s time, kindness, or resources, and finding joy in letting go. It reminds us that generosity not only sustains teachers and communities but also brings freedom and fulfillment to the giver.

Have you ever heard of chakras in yoga?
Chakras are energy centers in the body that influence how we feel physically, emotionally and spiritually. When they’re balanced, energy flows freely, supporting vitality, clarity and inner harmony.
From grounding at the root to connection at the crown, each chakra helps us explore different layers of well-being on and off the mat.
