You Go to the Chiropractor… Sometimes Your Vehicle Needs an Adjustment Too

Spring is a great time to get your car’s alignment inspected. As you hit rough roads & drive through pot holes left by a cold winter, it is possible that your vehicle could be out of alignment. This can make driving more difficult, shorten the lifespan of your tires and wear other parts prematurely.

Every time your vehicle is here with us we inspect your alignment and will let you know if there are any adjustments that need to be made. If you have a specific concern with your alignment feel free to call us and we will be happy to schedule an appointment for you!

We strive in our office to focus on figuring out the cause. If it’s something we can help with, we will. But if not, we will refer you to who can. It is one of the reasons both our Doctors refer to other local practitioners every day.

ONE THING MOST PARENTS USE AND WHY YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM IT…

I know you have seen it. Maybe you own one. As a chiropractor, I’m going to share why it is a piece of baby equipment that will not be entering our house – the Bumbo Seat….

First off, let me say, I understand why you love it. 

- You finally can get some things done around the house
- Your baby can see what you are doing, so they don’t scream when you walk away for a moment
- You think it will help your child to sit upright more quickly and you want them to experience their world
- You have heard that it helps create postural trunk control and you are just trying to do your best to give your baby the best start in life
- It allows for a child to get the hands into midline play
- Or that it can assist a baby who needs to be upright after feeding due to reflux 

This chair was designed to seat young babies who can’t sit up by themselves yet. From the Bumbo website, they say you can use it as soon as your baby can support their own head. 

Here is the problem: When children are placed in a Bumbo chair before they are developmentally ready for sitting, it will interfere with your baby’s natural progression of skills.

What do you invest it?

For our family, our number one investment is our health and our children. Yes, we have other avenues we take for investing in our future as well but a lot of our money and time goes towards working with other health care practitioners, exercise, great food and our children and their health.

We can’t lie and pretend that the past year has been all roses (honestly sometimes it really sucked) but we have taken a lot of time recently to reflect on how we have grown through this all.

⭐️ We have learned to slow down and be more present with our kids.

⭐️We can finally have a staycation and feel rejuvenated from it.

⭐️Our marriage has grown and we are in a much better place then we have ever been.

⭐️Our children are happier and are getting more focused parents.

⭐️We learned that we were spinning our wheels constantly travelling and it was wearing us down.

We are choosing to focus on the blessings right now to help us move through the storm, and for now, it is really helping.
