🌞✨ A shadow on the Sun… rarer than once in a lifetime.
This is the Venus transit of June 5–6, 2012 — when Venus passed directly between the Earth and the Sun, appearing as a tiny black dot gliding across the glowing disk. The entire journey took 6 hours and 40 minutes.
It’s not just rare — it’s ultra rare. Venus transits follow a cycle: 8 years, 121.5 years, 8 years, then 105.5 years.
That means we got a pair in 2004 and 2012… and now?
The next transit won’t happen until 2117.
👶 Anyone born today will be 92 years old by the time it returns. Most of us have already lived through our only chance to see it.
🌌 Were you lucky enough to catch this once-(or never!)-in-a-lifetime event?
