I know you may be used to women who let you do whatever you wanted.
But let me make something clear.
I’m not them.
I don’t care what they allowed.
I don’t care what they accepted.
I don’t care what they were willing to overlook.
I have standards.
I have boundaries.
And I won’t lower either one just to make room for your comfort.
I know what I want.
I know what I deserve.
And nothing you say is going to change that.
So don’t take it personally, darling.
It’s not you.
It’s me knowing my worth.
And my worth will never include disrespect.
It will never include being ignored, dismissed or treated like an option.
I don’t settle.
I never have.
And I never will.
So if you prefer what the others gave you, go find them.
Because I’m not here to be convenient.
I’m not here to be easy.
And I’m damn sure not here to be controlled.
I’m genuine.
I’m passionate.
I’m strong.
And if you came looking for someone weak enough to let you run the show, you knocked on the wrong door.
I deserve the best from life and love.
And I refuse to accept anything less.
Honestly, you shouldn’t either.
You know what you want, so go after it.
But if you’re coming for my heart, come correct.
Step up your standards.
Step up your character.
Step up the way you treat me.
I’m not saying I’m the easiest woman to love.
But I am saying I’m worth every bit of effort, respect and devotion.
This is who I am.
This is what I expect.
I don’t do excuses.
I don’t do laziness.
And I don’t do lukewarm passion.
