It is becoming common for parents to reach out to us for help after their children/teens are caught up in trouble online. Below are some great resources.

As a parent or guardian, it is important that you are aware of your child's digital online life. This includes regularly monitoring their online activity.

There are several potential issues that children can be involved in online including: talking to online predators, cyberbullying, extortion, access to mature content, and sending or receiving intimate images.

In addition to completing frequent checks of their device, parents should be aware of their child’s privacy settings and what apps they are allowing on their child’s device.

Here are some resources to help keep your child safe:

East Plains Counselling

We are a group of psychologists and counsellors with a combined 45+ years of experience. We provide counselling and assessment for children, teens, adults, and families. We opened our practice in Emerald Park in November 2016. We work with clients from Regina as well as many surrounding communities.

Services are covered through many EAP/EFAP programs and insurance plans. We accept contracts with insurance companies and EAP/EFAP programs on an ongoing basis.

Clients can self-refer or be referred by a teacher, doctor, program or other professional.
