September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (NDTR) to honour the survivors of Canadian residential schools and the families and communities impacted by this dark part of Canada's history.

Over the span of 160 years, more than 150,000 Indigenous children were taken from their families and forced to attend residential schools, where they were subjected to physical and emotional abuse and stripped of their culture, language, and family ties.

Take time to reflect and learn about Indigenous history in Canada, raise awareness of the impacts of these schools, and understand the steps to reconciliation.

I will announce a fundraiser on Monday, so we can also help this wonderful family out! ❤️

The last fundraiser went so well, Sydnee is going to do it again! This time we will be donating the proceeds to help a longtime client and her family that are going through a rough time.
