Join us as we come together to honor Eskasoni’s Elders aged 80 years and over at our Wi’kɨpaltimk – Mid-Winter Feast.

This special day will feature teachings about Apuknajit, traditional food tastings, hands-on learning, and cultural sharing. Enjoy entertainment by Stoney Bear Singers, EEMS Ko’jua Dancers, and other local performers, plus great door prizes throughout the afternoon.

📍 Eskasoni Elementary & Middle School Gymnasium

Invitations to honorees will be delivered between January 12 – January 16.

PLEASE SHARE!

Our 10 week Walking Program with Rhenelda Wren Sylliboy will begin January 15 and continue until March 19th. Come on out to Goat Island on Tuesdays and Thursdays and join our walkers get fit and healthy. We will be adding hiking days to various hiking trails in Cape Breton to this program as well (dates TBA) so come on out, and get involved in "walking in the right direction" to a healthier life! NEW MEMBERS always welcome.

We will be open all day on Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23.

The Health Centre will be closed from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day.

We will reopen for regular hours on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Eskasoni Crisis Centre will remain open 24-7, 7 days a week. Please check directly with the Eskasoni Pharmacy for their holiday hours.

Let’s get vaccinated! 💉

The Eskasoni Health Centre will be offering COVID and flu vaccines on December 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Flu vaccines: available for ages 6 months and older
COVID vaccines: available for ages 12 years and older
