Mission Statement: Fundraising and supporting the developments of St. Joseph’s Hospital services, expansion of facilities and purchasing new equipment. St.

Located in Estevan, Saskatchewan Joseph’s hospital Foundation Statement of Purpose:
The Principal purpose of the Foundation is to assist St. Joseph’s Hospital to advance the welfare and good of the citizens it serves by:
a) Maintaining a strong feeling of goodwill towards St. Joseph’s Hospital; and
b) Raising funds for the purpose of St. Joseph’s Hospital through obtaining donations, grants and gifts, and such other means as the Foundation shall from time to time consider advisable; and in doing so exercise any powers set forth in the Non-Profit Corporations Act in compliance with relevant provincial and federal laws; and
c) The development of Health Care in the Southeast Health Region

Milestone Moment: CT Scanner | 2016

In 2016, our community made history for healthcare in Southeast Saskatchewan.

Together, donors raised over $2 million to bring a CT Scanner to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Before the CT Scanner arrived, patients often had to travel out of town for critical diagnostic imaging.

Because this community stepped up, thousands of patients have since been able to receive faster diagnosis and care right here at home.

🩷 Families avoided long drives.
🩷 Doctors gained faster answers.
🩷 Care became closer and quicker when it mattered most.

This was more than a piece of equipment.

It was proof of what happens when a community comes together to support local healthcare.

This milestone happened because of you.

And it’s just one of the many reasons we say:

Radiothon for Life | A Tradition of Giving

Every community has moments that define who they are.

For us, one of those moments began with a microphone, a story, and a simple ask.

The very first Radiothon for Life brought our community together in a powerful way - sharing stories, inspiring generosity, and rallying support for local healthcare.

People called in.
Businesses stepped up.
Families gave what they could.

And something incredible happened.

A tradition was born.

Year after year, our community has continued to show up by raising funds for critical equipment, supporting new services, and helping ensure care stays close to home.

This year, we are proud to celebrate our 15th annual Radiothon for Life.

Fifteen years of generosity.
Fifteen years of stories.
Fifteen years of impact.

Because of Radiothon, countless milestones have become possible.

And it all started with a community that believed they could make a difference, together.

Milestone Moment: A New St. Joseph’s Hospital | 1991

Healthcare in our community has always grown because people believed Estevan deserved it.

In 1991, a major milestone took place - the construction of the current St. Joseph’s Hospital building that continues to serve Southeast Saskatchewan today.

As the community grew and healthcare needs expanded, it became clear that a new, modern facility was needed to support patients, physicians, and healthcare services for the region.

The new hospital brought expanded space for patient care, new medical departments, and room for services that would continue to evolve for decades.

It was more than a new building.

It was a commitment to the future of healthcare in this region.

Today, this hospital remains the heart of care for thousands of people across Southeast Saskatchewan providing emergency services, diagnostics, acute care, and specialized programs close to home.

And just like every milestone before and after it, this step forward happened because a community believed in supporting local healthcare.

Every expansion.
Every new service.
Every piece of equipment.

It all builds on the foundation that came before.

Milestone Moment: The Sisters of St. Joseph's | The Beginning

Before the technology.
Before the expansions.
Before the thousands of patients served every year.

There were the Sisters of St. Joseph's.

In 1938, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peterborough came to Estevan with a mission: to bring healthcare to a growing community in need. They built and opened the first St. Joseph’s Hospital after the previous local hospital had been destroyed by fire.

The hospital was a 40-bed, four-storey facility, built in just over five months and financed entirely by the Sisters themselves.

But they didn’t just build a hospital. They staffed it, ran it, and cared for patients.

For more than 55 years, the Sisters of St. Joseph's served the people of Estevan and Southeast Saskatchewan, expanding services, adding hospital wings, and helping shape the healthcare system our community relies on today.

Their work laid the foundation for everything that followed.

Every piece of equipment.
Every expanded service.
Every milestone.

It all began with a group of women who believed this community deserved care close to home.

And because of them, and because this community continues to give, that mission carries on today.

Thank you to Royal Canadian Legion Branch #60, Estevan, SK for your continued support of our hospital right here at home.

They stopped by St. Joseph's Hospital with three donations:

🩷 An additional $5,000 donation in support of our MRI Project ($10,000 total since our campaign launched)
🩵 $2,500 in support of our Addiction Recovery Centre
💚 $5,000 in support of our Long Term Care Special Care Home

Thank you for everything you do for not only our hospital, but our community as a whole. We truly appreciate it.

It’s here!

Today the modular unit for the new MRI at St. Joseph’s Hospital was delivered and placed on site - a powerful visual reminder of what this community has made possible.

Every donation, every fundraiser, every act of generosity has helped move this project from an idea… to a real structure now sitting beside our hospital.

Soon this space will house the MRI that will serve patients from across southeast Saskatchewan, keeping care closer to home for thousands of people.

This moment belongs to the entire community!

Brad and Colette Pierson, along with The Murray Auto Group and Murray GM Estevan, are proud to announce a combined donation of $150,000 to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation.

As The Murray Auto Group celebrates 100 years of success in 2026, they chose to mark this milestone by also contributing to Brad and Colette’s organization of choice.

This contribution reflects a shared commitment to supporting the people, families, and frontline care providers who rely on St. Joseph’s Hospital every day, and to giving back to the community that has supported them for generations.

This meaningful contribution will help ensure more patients in our community have timely access to advanced diagnostic care, creating a lasting impact that honors Mary’s life through compassion and generosity.
