Staff across the hospital wore pink for Pink Shirt Day! We stand together against bullying, and are committed to promoting a culture of kindness and respect for everyone.

We’re proud of our team for raising awareness and showing that even something as simple as wearing pink can spread a powerful message.

As our region moves through cold and flu season, respiratory virus activity remains high. To help protect vulnerable patients, staff, and other visitors, we are strongly discouraging anyone experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness from visiting our hospital.

If you are unable to visit a loved one, you can still brighten their day with our free eCard service. Friends and family can send personalized messages online, and we will print and deliver them directly to patients when an in-person visit is not possible.

To send an eCard today, visit: www.huronhealthsystem.ca/ecards

Respiratory viruses like influenza and COVID-19 are still circulating. One way to prevent their spread is to practice respiratory etiquette. This means, when coughing or sneezing, you should:
✔ cough or sneeze into a tissue or the bend of your arm, NOT your hand if you're not wearing a mask (masks are strongly recommended in indoor public settings)
✔ throw any tissues you've used into a plastic-lined waste container as soon as possible
✔ clean your hands immediately afterwards

One way to prevent the spread of illness-causing germs is to clean your hands often. If soap & water aren’t available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol. Use enough product to cover hands & rub them together until dry.
