Today is a great day!! Holly has just called 5 mins ago to to tell me that her Cancer has gone into remission !!! We are still waiting for the final test results which take 2-3 months, Holly will finish this round of Chemo and then a final completion round! We are so grateful for this news today!! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes over the past few month's, we look forward to having our lives go back to somewhat normal.Today is a day for counting our many blessings!!

Today we enjoys Holly's Birthday, not much has changed,as to why there has been no updates...tomorrow Holly will continue 6 days of Chemo as a inpatient for her 3 round at LHSC ,please continue to remember Holly in her fight against Luekima, your support and prayers have been overwhelming to say the least,tonight we enjoy our Hotel at the Days Inn for our last night before this round starts,a little Christmas shopping was also demanded lol...

Today's update...Holly has been feeling pretty good lately,she is in good spirits,she does have minor bone pain from the chemo,We received a donation from a local organization which helped with this hot tub for Holly ,she is super excited!! As am I ...I get fairly Sore from Tile Installs...Tonight we plan on a birthday party with Madison and brother Joe and family from out west,should be a fun time! This Friday we will find out when Holly's next round of Chemo begins...Please remember to keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers as she continues on this journey of healing...

Update:: Today is 94 days since Holly was first diagnosed with Acute Myloid Luekima....Holly's appointments went well this week so far,tomorrow we will find out when the next round of chemo will begin...Holly will be an inpatient this time for the 6 days of Chemo,then will come home for recovery... Since this has started we have received financial help,food, cards,thoughts and many prayers,Holly and I are beyond words for all the kind gestures shown to us in the last few months,please continue to keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers......

Update for Nov,5 Yesterday Hollly had an appointment at LHSC,She did receive platelets, overall she is feeling okay,Yesterday she did groceries for the first time! Holly's breathing has improved and she finds she is able to do small things around the house...Holly's doctors agreed that inpatient chemo is what's best for Holly,We both feel that this is what is the safest for Holly so that she has constant around the clock care,high fevers are a constant battle, No set date but chemo will start sometime around Nov 12-13...please keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers this week......

Happy Halloween everyone, Tonight we had 43 kids come by, from bears to minions to sharks ,cowboys lol All in all it was a great night,all the candy is GONE!! Holly is doing okay,she felt better yesterday than today,her eyes have improved drastically, and she is in less discomfort, Tomorrow is another day of appointments,Her nutrafill levels are still low, but the platelets were okay,Holly is still short on breath and struggles with that occasionally,We believe the next round of Chemo begins Nov 12th..We are trying get Holly as an inpatient for the next few rounds,We think it's safer than everything we went through this past round,Holly's doctors are pushing for that,Im simply not able to help in case of an emergency and I feel helpless,Tomorrow will be day 89 of Hollys fight...Please continue to keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers as we have many more months of unknowns to deal with..Ben&Holly Meinen..

Just so everyone is aware, Holly was discharged this afternoon and she is back at home now,Chemo stops for now and will resume around Nov 12.....Holly and her team of doctors will determine what further treatment plans are needed ,Keep Holly in your thoughts..Ben

UPDATE::: We are at LHSC Victoria Hospital now..Holly has a bad rash from Chemo,headaches,vision issues,She is extremely tired,Our Doctor thinks she has Syrum sickness from the chemo,Chemo will stop and we will continue on Monday providing Holly is well enough ,She is being admitted now and they will keep her until further notice ..It has become to much for me to care for her at home I constantly worry..I'm not medically smart,so yea I tend to panic..Holly feels that this is the best place for her now

UPDATE...
Holly has been admitted back into Emerg this morning..Overall she is not feeling well,Holly is having a difficult time breathing this morning, And Has a hard time walking around the house,I was at work ,but our Neighbor Heather rushed Holly to Emerg this morning, I am with her now, Keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers this morning...

Update as of 3am Holly was admitted to EmergencyShe had a high fever and was having issues, short on breath shaking ,ect ,She is running a fever of 39.1...................... .It's been 73 days since this ordeal started for Holly..40 days Hospitalized for 24-7 Induction Chemo, Well enough to return home to me and her family,and the puppys 🐶 !! This week Holly started Chemo ,she is tired,a little woozy tonight but in good spirits, on Sunday her Chemo will be done for now,two weeks of recovery, but 3 trips to London weekly for blood transfusions ect..then 6 more days of Chemo and then recovery again,We hope that a bone marrow transplant isn't needed,there are some serious risks involved with that..I am working full time now,as much as possible,please remember to keep Holly in your thoughts and prayers as she continues on with this fight, If you have spare time and wish to help with some driving for Holly's appointments we sure would appreciate it!! The 9,000 kms since this started is starting to take its toll,Thanx to everyone who has donated there time so far with helping out..
