We had a blast visiting the For the Love of ButterTarts Festival Elmira on Saturday! $1 from each ticket sold was donated to Groves. Our Foundation Executive Director, Lori, and Board Members, Elnor & Pam, got to enjoy some sweet treats, fun activities, and meet Kitchener-Conestoga MP Tim Louis.

Thank you to everyone who attended & supported Groves, all the buttertart vendors, volunteers, and an extra special thank you to Event Organizer Jackie Psutka for choosing Groves as the beneficiary, and all her hard work & time organizing this unique fundraiser!! 🍁👩🏼‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳

Belwood Lake Cottagers’ Association presented a cheque for $42,000 to fund a new colonoscope for Endoscopy. Last year, over 2,000 endoscopic procedures were performed at GMCH.

The group of cottagers from Belwood Lake have now donated $52,000 to support local health care since 2016. Thank you BLCA!!

We are so grateful to be recipients of Station Earth’s Hot Laps Fundraiser, for the 6th year! In its 13th year consecutively running, this fantastic “fun”draiser has raised over $83,500 to support cancer care, close to home, at Groves. Thank you to all of the organizers, sponsors, attendees, and especially the Team at Station Earth for your continued support of our Oncology Department! 👏🏼🏎️🏁🚘🤩

We wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Cindy Lindsay, for her 9-year term on our Foundation Board. Cindy joined the Foundation Board during the height of the New Groves Hospital Campaign in June 2016.

Throughout her time on the Foundation Board, Cindy was a vital part of our Governance Committee & the leadership of our Foundation. She acted as Vice-Chair, Chair, & Past Chair during her tenure. Cindy brought her many years of Governance & Fundraising prowess, and was a vital part of 3 strategic plans.

Cindy played an active role in the fundraising for the New Groves Hospital, sat as a Cabinet Member on the $151 Campaign, & volunteered countless hours working at events, trade shows, & booths. We are so grateful for her nearly a decade of service to Groves.

We will truly miss Cindy but as she is 2nd Vice President & Chair of the Philanthropic Committee of Grand River Agricultural Society, we will continue to work together towards the betterment of our community.

Thank you for everything, Cindy 💜💚

Did you know? GMCH has a “Clothing Closet” for those patients who may have come in with an emergency and/or have limited social or financial resources. Undergarments/socks, seasonally appropriate clothing may be provided to support their discharge from hospital. GMCH’s Social Worker manages it and distributes to patients in need, throughout the year.

We are reaching out to our wonderful community in hopes that you can help us replenish it. Please see second image for the items needed. 💜💚

Please note: due to limited space/storage, we are unfortunately unable to accept or store items outside of this list but suggest instead donating them to New to You - Fergus during their donation hours.
