Why you became involved: I just came to help out one weekend when a friend asked and ended up staying

Favorite snack: I like chips, normally salt and vinegar
Old Side or New Side: I like new side early in the year, then old side in the spring
Favorite run at the resort: Right now it’s probably cascade
What do you do in your free time: I do school, I bike, and I like to read

GABRIELLE GIRARD
Years with Fernie Adaptive: 2nd year
Why you became involved: I first involved myself to help out my mom who didn’t have any instructors for her students that day. I loved teaching them so much I decided to keep on doing it with my good friend, liking it more and more every time.
Where you were born: I was born in Quebec, moved to Calgary when I was two and we come to Fernie every weekend because of how much I love the mountain
Favorite snack: Fuzzy Peaches
Old Side or New Side: I cannot pick which side I would rather ski on
Favorite run at the resort: Surprise Trees on the New Side
What do you do in your free time: In my free time, I love to read and make arts and crafts while eating any type of gummy, especially fuzzy peaches which are my favorite.
Anything else? My favorite Color is purple and I love to smile!

BARRY MACCORMACK
Years with Fernie Adaptive: 1st year
Why you became involved: I became involved because my wife became a Fernie Adaptive ski instructor this season and I learned they needed some extra support with snowboarding. I volunteered and it has been a fantastic experience.
Where you were born: PEI
Favorite snack: Potato chips! The Cirque truffle fries are a good substitute.
Old Side or New Side: I am partial to the “old” side despite the sloooow chairs
Favorite run at the resort: Linda’s Run is my favourite in the right POW conditions.
What do you do in your free time: In my spare time (which is a lot),I like to cross country ski, hike and play pickle ball.
Anything else? It has been great to meet so many volunteers and participant snowboarders. These kids are real gamers!
