I went to classes on and off for a few years trying to decide if it was really for me.I was all over the map with what style I enjoyed. Did I like the fast paced, sweaty class or the slow deep thinking classes, could I ever understand the Chanting, would I remember what the heck Warrior 2 was? What does Namaste mean? At times I felt like Yoga was overwhelming and that I had to be like all those pe

ople in the photos that could bend like a Pretzel. My EGO did get in the way for awhile which took me away from my mat. With my health struggles both physical and mental, I was not able to do the poses like my mind thought I should. When I was told "No more headstand, no more inversions" I was bummed out. I am happy to say that I have adjusted my mind as well as my postures, I have placed the Ego on the back burner during my mat time and have accepted what is. I took my 200 hour training in Fernie in 2015 and discovered a whole new world of reaching out. Over the past year I have learned so much through different trainings, and experiences, but most of all I think my students have taught me the most. Yoga is for everyone, every age, every shape and size. I think the comment I hear most often is " I am not flexible enough to come to Yoga" and my reply is, " Saying that is like saying you are too dirty to take a bath" (author unknown) If you are ready to take the leap and want to discover Yoga come join me.
