I spent a month trekking in Nepal last May. It is a beautiful country inhabited by the most wonderful and kind people. The Nepalese are hardworking and tough, but sometimes lack resources.... especially in a time of need. Every little bit helps.

From the 1st-15th of May we will be donating our cash tips to ShelterBox Canada to help give relief to those in Nepal. We will also have a donation jar at our front desk. Anyone who would like to place a donation/cash tip will be entered into a draw to win a gift bag we have put together. Our way of saying thank you. Let's all work together and help those in need.

Probably the EASIEST way to help your body feel its best!

Ever wonder why your healthcare providers inquire about your water intake? Know it is for good reason! Our bodies are made up of about 70% water.

Coffee and juice don't count:

Because we use water in the making of tea, coffee, juice and other tasty beverages, many people mistakenly count them as water intake. It is important to realize the properties of straight up H2o is what contains health benefits and has the ability to make a huge difference to our bodies without the added sugars, dyes, and caffeine or alcohol (which dehydrate us).

Here is a breakdown of where our bodies use all that H2o:

-The blood that flows through your body and delivers nutrients is 82% water
-The muscles that hold your bones and move your body are 75% water
-Lungs that pump oxygen crucial to your survival are 90% water
-Bones that protect your organs are 25% water
-Your brain is a whopping 76% water

A good little article for those of you who spend long hours at the desk :)

http://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/page/national/the-health-hazards-of-sitting/750/

We know sitting too much is bad, and most of us intuitively feel a little guilty after a long TV binge. But what exactly goes wrong in our bodies when we park ourselves for nearly eight hours per day, the average for a U.S. adult? Many things, say four experts, who detailed a chain of problems from…

This is an interesting little article on the relationship between the foods we consume and how they relate to our bodies in a healthy way.

http://erinjanus.com/foods-that-look-like-body-parts-theyre-good-for/

Article by Erin Janus| Hippocrates said, “let food be thy medicine, and thy medicine be thy food.” And it just so happens that many natural whole foods closely resemble the organs and body parts they’re good for! In occult teachings, (occult simply means that which is hidden), this is we

Check out the magic of massage!! Although a BC RMT is not qualified for this, I like the look of this less aggressive technique. A lot easier and less traumatic on the body as well :)
