Highland Heights is honoured to be celebrating 9 years of providing the highest quality of oral health care to our community.
9 years ago, HHDH was only a vision - a dream of where I wanted my hygiene career to go, of the clinic I wanted to provide to the community I grew up in and continue to live in.....and those NINE years have flown by!
We’ve come a long way since our very first client walked through our doors - its a day I know I won't ever forget! It didn’t run as smoothly as I had hoped - finding out you ordered the wrong prophy angles while you are about to polish, is far from ideal - but I wouldn’t trade the 9 years that followed for anything in the world!!
The clinic has accomplished so much in 9 years, and I have grown immensely as a health care professional - but most importantly, I have the most amazing staff & clients - every single day my heart is full with friendship, laughter and pure joy - we truly have become a family. With every visit I look forward to your stories, your triumphs, your adventures. I am there through sorrows and tough times, and cheering you on when those hurdles are surpassed. Every single one of you has helped shape me into a better version of myself and as a Dental Hygienist!
The past 9 years have been productive both inside and outside of the clinic walls - we have created partnerships with our local elementary schools - teaching students and parents the importance of good oral hygiene habits and nutrition - we have introduced oral health to local support groups, offered many MANY mouth guard clinics to our local hockey associations, and we have built trusting relationships with our local dental offices, allowing us to provide the highest level of quality care to our clients.
We opened our doors to our local high school, to provide opportunity for keen students to get a look into Independent Dental Hygiene - and have watched those students grow and flourish in their college careers and pursuing their path to a career in Dental Hygiene! Jillian has been with us since her Grade 12 year and continues to be an important part of our RDH family! We welcomed Emma as our 4th Co-op student this year and have helped shape her desire to pursue her DH college career!
Personally, this past year has been full of extremely difficult challenges, discovering my strength and perseverance, and the need to take some time away from the clinic. This time has shown not only myself and my family - but also our entire staff - how incredibly loyal and supportive our clients truly are. Our client family bond has grown much stronger over the past 9 years, but in particular during the past few months. I will never forget the love and support we received from all of you!
This past year we also welcomed our incredible receptionist Amber to our team! She is a fellow Georgian Graduate and has been an incredible addition to the clinic - I honestly am not sure how we managed the past 9 years without her!
We’ve spent 9 years building relationships and working extremely hard (along with a few tears) and it has paid off - we have built an exceptional and trusted, professional clinic in our incredibly supportive community.
We are very much looking forward to what the rest of 2025 will bring - as we continue to grow, AND change is certainly on the horizon!
This year marks my 21st year as a Registered Dental Hygienist! TWENTY FIRST!!! I am beyond fortunate that each and every single day I get to live my dream, my passion - and this would not be possible without the support of the most incredible family, friends, clients and mentors!! So THANK YOU, to each of you!!
Cheers to 9 years with my Independent Clinic and a 2025 full of growth, hope and continuing to provide Grey Highlands, and beyond, with the highest level of quality Dental Hygiene care!
