Baie Verte Waste Disposal Site will be closed on Friday, April 3rd,
2026 and re-open Saturday, April 4th, 2026 as per normal schedule.

Good morning everyone,

Just wanted to send out a note for some things that need some housekeeping from everyone:

1- wharf road was closed off yesterday from Dwayne Barrett’s stage down to the wharf and did not interfere with anyone’s driveway or access to their homes for a few hours as there was a film crew shooting a private blessing of a boat and they did not need a lot of people to park on the wharf or coming and going with the cars as that interferes with the sound of the camera crew.

2- speeding thru town continues to be an issue (Speed limit is 30) and as well when the school bus is in town and either stopped to pick/drop off the students or turning , cars should stop and allow the bus to finish their route before passing. This is a legal violation and as such license plates will be taken down and police called. Please help keep our children safe.

3- Any issues regarding town business that you need council to address please refrain from sending private messages. The proper process is to fill out the appropriate forms at the town office and it will be brought to town councils attention or if you feel you need to address council we have our monthly meeting on the last Tuesday (unless posted) of every month at 6pm just advise the town office if you wish to come in and attend the meeting to speak to council.

Please refrain from coming down to the wharf as the road is closed off for the next few hours (just past Rod and Sheila Walsh’s house ). Anyone living on that road you are still able to access your driveways and houses.

Please be advised that the Town Office will be closed on April 3, 2026, for Good Friday, and on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026.

For anyone who needs water, please fill up before the office closes on Thursday @ 4:00pm.
