October is ADHD Awareness Month
ADHD is so much more than being “distracted” or “forgetful.” It’s a neurodevelopmental difference that can affect focus, energy, organization, and even emotions — and it looks different in every single person.
For kids, it may show up as restlessness, big feelings, or struggles in school. For teens and adults, it can be procrastination, difficulty with routines, or feeling like you’re always “behind.” But ADHD also comes with incredible strengths — creativity, resilience, outside-the-box thinking, and passion.
This month is about education, reducing stigma, and celebrating the strengths within the ADHD community.
On a personal note — ADHD is part of my own journey. I know first-hand how overwhelming it can feel some days, and how misunderstood it can be. But I’ve also seen how, with the right tools, supports, and compassion, ADHD can become a source of strength and growth. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about this work.
If ADHD is part of your story or your family’s, you are not alone. Support, strategies, and compassionate therapy can make a real difference.
At Reflect Reset Renew Therapy Services, we’re here to help children, teens, and adults navigate ADHD with understanding, practical tools, and a collaborative approach.
