Dear Valued Patients,

We are pleased to inform you that Dr. Osamuyimen Odigie (“Dr. Odi”) and Dr. Nonso Udochukwu have become the new owners of Maxwell Medical Clinic as from November 1st, 2025 and we are honored to continue serving you and providing the excellent care you deserve.

Our priority is to ensure a smooth and seamless transition with no disruption to your care. All your medical records and ongoing treatments will continue as usual.
We want to assure you that every patient will be taken over by one of us. Patients will be randomly assigned to either Dr. Odi or Dr. Udochukwu, unless you prefer to choose a specific doctor and subsequent initial consultation arranged to establish continuity of care.

About Us:
-Dr. Nonso Udochukwu completed his Family Medicine training in the UK. His interests include dermatology, Musculoskeletal medicine, care of the elderly, and palliative care.

-Dr. Osamuyimen Odigie (“Dr. Odi”) also trained in the UK in Family Medicine, with a strong background in Emergency Medicine. His interests include mental health, women’s health, and sports medicine.

We are thrilled to be relocating to Fort McMurray to make it our home and look forward to becoming an active part of this community.

Our goal is to maintain the high standard of professional and compassionate care while building strong, lasting relationships with each of you.

We open to accepting new patients and walk-ins going forward.

Dear MaxWell patients,

We have some great news about MaxWell Medical. We are delighted to inform you that two very good family physicians will be taking over the clinic and assuming responsibility for the panel of patients at MaxWell, effective November 1st, 2025. The excellent staff at MaxWell will continue in their current roles.

Both doctors are currently based in Airdrie but have been doing fly-in locums at MaxWell Medical over the last few months. They are both married with young children and plan to make Fort McMurray their permanent home.

Dr Nonso Udochukwu completed his Family Medicine training in the UK. He has over 13 years of medical experience and has a broad range of clinical interests including in dermatology, care of the elderly, palliative care and joint injections. The second family physician is Dr Osamuyimen Odigie (he goes by "Dr Odi"). He also completed his Family Medicine training in the UK. He has a strong background in Emergency Medicine with special interests in mental health, women's health, and sports medicine.

We hope that you will all continue to make MaxWell your medical home. We have great confidence in both of these doctors. We will randomly assign you to one of these doctors, unless you have a particular preference. Subsequent initial appointment will be arranged to establish continuity of care. Your medical records will continue to be securely stored in MaxWell's electronic medical records system, unless you wish your file to be closed or transferred to another physician.

First of all, I want to thank so many people who sent me such kind messages and cards when I had to leave Fort McMurray due to health reasons. However, I want to reassure you that we are in the final stages of transferring the clinic to new owners, who will provide excellent medical care. We hope that you'll be patient while this transition happens. The MaxWell clinic will not be closing. I wish all of you the very best. Warm regards, Dr Raman Kumar
