Optimal Health is temporarily closed due to a major act of vandalism.
This morning at 3:34 a.m., we were contacted by our fire monitoring company about an emergency at our location. Upon reviewing our surveillance footage, it became clear that this was a deliberate criminal act.
An unidentified individual stole a loader from a nearby construction site and intentionally drove it into the side of our commercial building, causing significant structural damage. The machine then caught fire, leading to heavy smoke and water damage inside multiple units.
All video footage has been submitted to the RCMP, who are now investigating the incident.
As a result, Optimal Health, along with Thrifty Dutchess and Hair Magic Studio, will remain closed until further notice while the damages are assessed and repairs begin.
This is heartbreaking for everyone involved, especially heading into the Christmas season. Local small businesses work incredibly hard, and an incident like this affects families, staff, and our entire community.
