MYTH: Midwives and doulas are the same thing.

FACT: A Registered Midwife, like a physician, is a primary care provider. Midwives are educated and trained to provide all necessary maternity care related to pregnancy, birth and post partum. Doulas are trained, non-medical professionals who provide physical and emotional support during labour, delivery and after childbirth.
