Today marks 10 years since the Horse River Wildfire forever changed our community.
For many, this anniversary carries memories that are still tender — moments of fear, loss, displacement, and uncertainty. It also holds stories of courage, kindness, and people showing up for one another in extraordinary ways.
We had the honour of walking alongside many of you during that time, holding space for grief, for shock, and for the long road of rebuilding. Ten years later, we recognize that some days may still feel heavy, and that healing can revisit us in unexpected ways.
If this season feels heavy for you, please know you don’t have to carry it alone. We are still here — with open hearts — ready to walk with you, just as we did then.
We remember. We care. And we continue to stand with you.
