The Centre provides physical and emotional support to those who have the desire to make a change and the willingness to accept help as they detoxify from the effects of alcohol, drugs or gambling. Are you thinking about coming to Detox? This is what you need to know…

- We will check to see if we have an available bed
- If we have a bed, we will hold it for one hour for you
In addition to our detox program, we have several other programs:
PRE-TREATMENT: When one of our clients expresses interest in attending an addiction treatment program, we do everything we can to help them. This includes: helping clients choose a program that meets their needs, aiding clients in filling out treatment applications, and assisting clients in securing funding and transportation to treatment. Clients who have done all of these steps can then apply for our pre-treatment program. Clients on pre-treatment can stay at The Centre until their treatment date. POST-TREATMENT: We have limited number of beds reserved for clients who complete a residential treatment program. They can come back to Pastew Place and stay for up to 6 months. Post-treatment clients are supported as they find employment, build support networks and continue to work on their recovery. DAY PROGRAM: This program is required for all in-house clients and is open to members of the public. It runs three weeks each month. In this program, participants learn about the effects of addiction on the body and how it has affected their friends and family. Participants will also discuss relapse prevention and how to build support around them. Clients who complete this program will be awarded a certificate. The program is enjoyed by many of our clients! LIVING IN BALANCE: This program alternates with the Day Program and focuses on various emotions associated with addiction, including stress, guilt, depression and anger.
