Your breathing is one of the fastest tools you can use to help your body regulate. Breathing techniques work by sending a message to your nervous system that you’re safe helping slow your heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring you back into the present moment.

One simple technique you can try anywhere is 5-Finger Breathing✋
Hold one hand out in front of you.
👉 As you slowly trace up your thumb with your finger, breathe in
👉 As you trace down, breathe out
👉 Continue tracing each finger, breathing in as you go up and out as you go down
