Autism Society of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo The Autism Society of the RMWB originated from a group of parents looking to create a network of supports for families in our community. Everyone is welcome!!

We are committed to creating an inclusive community through programming, supports, and understanding for autistic individuals in our region, and all those living with a disability and their families across the lifespan. Today, the organization offers programming for children and adults of all differing abilities and has the capacity to assist families and individuals to navigate additional service

s, as well as support them through their journey. By providing a variety of educational presentations as well as engaging in community events, we continue to strive to create an inclusive community. Our Mission

members of the community. A region that recognizes that all citizens have the right to live, work, and play. All donations stay in the RMWB. This page is open to the community. We’re hiring for the summer! ☀️

Through the Canada Summer Jobs program, we’re looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Summer Camp Support Workers to join our team for a 6-week summer position. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children with disabilities in a fun, supportive, and inclusive camp environment.

🌈 What you’ll do:

Support children with disabilities during camp activities and daily routines
Assist with games, crafts, outdoor play, and special events
Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all campers
Work closely with camp staff and supervisors as part of a team

📅 Duration: 6 weeks (July 2nd -August 14th)
📍 Location: [Fort McMurray]
👧🧒 Who this is for: Students interested in education, disability services, child & youth care, recreation, or social services

Today is Red Dress Day — a National Day of Awareness and Remembrance for Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Peoples (MMEIP). ❤️

We honour the lives lost and stand in solidarity with the families and communities who continue to seek justice, truth, and healing.

How you can show support:
❤️ Wear red in remembrance
📚 Take time to learn about the MMEIP crisis
🚶 Join your community in events and gatherings

Join us on May 5th at 12 PM at Kiyām Community Park for the Red Dress Solidarity Walk as we come together to honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.
