Meet Winnie and Bailey! These two babies belong to our Office Manager Wanda! Winnie is a sweet girl who loves to be a part of the action, she loves French fries and her favorite game is called "Run from Mom." 😂🥰 Bailey is very playful and loving, she's never far from Moms side. World Wildlife Conservation Day falls every December 4th to raise awareness and engage conversations about species that are endangered or under threat of extinction because of poaching, trafficking and other environmental factors.
Wildlife Preservation Canada has identified dozens of species that are endangered, including a small, migratory shorebird in the Atlantic region called the Piping plover and the Vancouver Island marmot, considered Canada’s most endangered mammal.
Conservation work has led to the recovery and revival of species around the world and right here in Canada. One example of this is the Burrowing Owl, which had a record 50 owls return to breeding grounds in 2015 after reintroduction efforts.

International Mens Day!
According to World Health Organization (WHO) data, su***de is the biggest killer of men under the age of forty-five. This is the case in many countries worldwide, including the UK, USA, Australia, and Russia.
Gender, cultural conditioning, and adequate role-models are contributing factors. As many women as men may contemplate ending their own lives, but men are more likely to go through with it, and often in violent ways.
From a young age, boys are gendered in a particular way – boys will be boys, they are told, and boys don’t cry. As they grow up men are encouraged to present a strong, unaffected image, that often masks the deep need to communicate what is going on for them emotionally.
International Men’s Day seeks to raise awareness about mental health issues in men, as well as other health and societal issues, by encouraging men to open up and communicate with others. The traditional ideas of what masculinity means in society is changing, and needs to change, if vulnerable men are to be protected from these harmful conditions. 💚💙
