Looking for a calmer, more comfortable swim experience? Join us for our quiet, low-stimulation swim, designed for those who prefer a gentler environment.

Here’s what to expect:
• Dimmed lights
• No music or announcements
• Limited capacity
• No waves or water features
• Whistles used only in emergencies
• Quiet rooms available upon request

This is a great option for individuals who are sensory-sensitive. 💙

Prompts are useful in guiding a client to focus on and learn a variety of tasks. However, individuals can sometimes grow a reliance on these prompts, which decreases independence. Prompt fading reduces this dependency by slowly removing/altering the prompts used and helps create habits where a person can complete an action on their own! 💪

🛑 Extinction helps to reduce problem behaviours that were rewarded in the past by not inhibiting whatever was rewarding the behaviour from occurring. It helps clients to learn that some actions do not achieve certain outcomes, while we then encourage and teach positive replacements that gain reinforcement instead.

One of the my favourite teaching methods is behaviour chaining techniques and this outlines backward chaining. This method involves the last step being taught first, which helps the client gain success and reinforcement every time it is practiced. As each step is mastered, the sequence of behaviours can easily be repeated! 🔄

Data in ABA therapy is vital to observe a client’s progress and to determine which strategies are best for a client. This approach makes sure that the therapy is tailored to a client’s needs and progress is occurring 📊

Behaviour graphs are a great tool for behaviour analysts to interpret changes in client behaviour. These visuals create clear records of progress, which allows for us to use optimized strategies and decisions 📈
