🟡🟡ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS🟡🟡

We are pleased to update that our clinic has recruited 2 new physicians who will be joining us in September 2026.

Dr. Manraj Khangura and Dr. Haroon Ahmed are both finishing up their residency here in Fort St John, and both will be accepting new patients.

We are asking patients in the community who would like to be registered to these new physicians to either download a New Patient Form from our website or come directly into the clinic and register in person.

The Fort St John Family Practice Associates are pleased to announce we have recruited 2 new physicians to our clinic - Dr. Mustafa Abujafer & Dr. Cosmas Ofoegbu.

🩺Dr. Jafer joins us from Libya and is taking over the practice of Dr. Courtney Boyer who recently announced her upcoming departure from Fort St John.

🩺Dr. Cosmas joins us from Nigeria and is taking over the practice of Dr. Catherine Tao who also recently announced her upcoming departure from Fort St John.

Dr. Jafer and Dr. Cosmas are not currently accepting new patients, however they are very happy to be able to continue providing care to the existing patients of Dr. Boyer and Dr. Tao as your new family physicians.

▶️We would like to remind patients of Fort St John Family Practice Associates Clinic that there is still a morning walk in clinic available Monday – Friday and each physician also has set aside a number of same day appointments for patients with more urgent matters that cannot wait for a regular booked appointment.

Due to an outbreak of MEASLES in our NorthEast area, we are taking extra precautions to protect those vulnerable to contracting this virus - including babies and young children.

🦠 MEASLES is very contagious and spreads easily. When an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes, the virus spreads through the air.

🦠 The MEASLES virus can survive in small droplets in the air for several hours. You can become infected when you breathe in these droplets or touch objects contaminated with the virus.

🦠 Do you have MEASLES symptoms including fever and/or:

▫️Cough
▫️Runny nose
▫️Red eyes
▫️Rash

If so, please DO NOT approach waiting area or front desk and call (250) 785-6677 so we can prepare for your arrival and give further instructions.

Please see below letter regarding Dr. Loomes upcoming departure from the community.

Dr. Loomes wants to ensure all her patients are aware that you will not be left without a family doctor.

We would like to give an early welcome to Dr. Frances Legge, who is currently finishing up her last year of residency here in Fort St John and will then pursue advanced obstetrical training until early Spring 2026 when she returns as your new family doctor taking over for Dr. Loomes.

In the interim, we have various locum physicians and our Nurse Practitioner, Shannon McRae, available to see Dr. Loomes patients.

* As of April 1, 2025 Dr. Makary will be working out of a new location in Fort St John *

Dr. Makary will still be your family doctor and your medical records will automatically go with her to her new office.

* Patients who already have appts scheduled in January, February and March at Dr. Makary’s current location will not change *

If you have inquires or would like to book an appt with Dr. Makary after March 31st, 2025 please call her new office at (250) 785-1220.

* Dr. Makary’s patients have also been mailed a copy of this letter *
