NBCVC Icebreaker Tournament Planning Meeting

It takes a village (ahem, an army) to host our annual volleyball tournament. This year will be big - we want to include all age groups so our entire club gets a chance to play!

This means that we will need you to lend a hand as many of our helpers last year were our players. Come join us on Monday - we can’t do it without you!

Alright everyone, the last week to sign up for tryouts is finally upon us. If the school season feels like it went by in a flash, join us for an exciting competitive club season!!

Heads up for boys interested in playing: As you know, we’ve so far had low registration numbers. If you’re one of the dedicated who will be with us on Sunday, encourage your teammates to sign up along with you.

We’ve seen you out there playing a fantastic game, and we want you to have enough players for a team!!

The first event of the season - where rosters become teams and it all comes back to us in the best way.

The tournament will be open to all age groups (U12-U18 boys and girls, pools dependent on registration numbers), with Volleyball Canada referees.

Our U15 Blue & U13 Girls are in need of head coaches, and an assist for U15 Blue would be helpful as well!

Coaches are the backbone of our club and we love to support them as they bring out the best in our players. Many of our coaches started as parents of young players looking for a way to help, and have come back again and again!

Haven’t had your tryout yet? Don’t worry, we’ll open the store one more time after U12 and Boys tryouts (we just can’t guarantee those orders will arrive in time for Christmas).

Reminder that we are holding our AGM this Wednesday, October 15th at 7pm, and we are looking for members to join our executive team!

Our club has grown, and volleyball is as popular as ever, but many of the current NBCVC board members are in their final season with the club. That means it’s time to welcome some new faces! We’d especially love to see parents from U13-U16 age groups come on out ☺️

The Grizzly Cub Volleyball Youth Camp is an annual event we look forward to! Coached by the Northern Peace Senior Grizzlies, these players will share their skill and love for the sport. This fundraiser for their season is a win/win! 🙌
