Hi everyone! Just letting you know that I'm back to taking appointments now:)
Just a quick reintroduction: My name is Rosemarie Dirks and I am a certified Lactation Consultant in the Fort St john, BC area. I enjoy being a wife and mother of 2 very busy kiddos. My experience includes a number of years working in a maternity unit as a nurse, as well as being a LC for about 6 years. I love babies and find great joy in working alongside mothers to allow them to reach their breastfeeding goals. Both my children were not the easiest of "breastfeeders" and had to work through various issues in order to be able to successfully feed them. Along with first hand experience, I have numerous hours of education and hands on support. I would love to meet you and see what can be done to guide you along your breastfeeding journey.

Hello all! Just wanted to do a quick post to give an update of where I’m at. I’m currently on maternity leave with my newborn…. Who is not the easiest breastfeeder. I am a certified Lactation Consultant serving Fort St. John and area in the comfort of your own home. I have been working in the Fort St. John area since 2005. My experience includes working as a LPN from 2005-2012 while advancing my education and receiving my bachelor degree of nursing, therefore working as an RN from 2012 to present. Most of all my experience is within the labour and delivery and postpartum floor here in Fort St. John. I have worked with lots of mother and baby pairs over the years addressing a variety of different challenges that can arise from the breastfeeding experience. Because of my lengthy experience on maternity, addressing feeding challenges, looking at milk supply, as well as a addressing other issues that may arise from the process of breastfeeding is something I excel in. I look forward to assisting families on their breastfeeding journey.
