Meet our new student intern, Laura! Laura is passionate about supporting her clients’ mental health and well being, and helping her clients navigate the world around them. Laura uses a variety of approaches, with a focus on establishing a trusting counselor-client relationship. She is offering low cost counseling options for children and adolescents, as well as parent consultation sessions!

Meet Anna!

Anna works with children, teens, and adults, and is passionate about supporting her clients as they navigate through presenting concerns, such as anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, relationship issues, parenting struggles, and emotional regulation challenges. Anna works through a neuro-affirming lens and utilizes a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Ego State Therapy. Anna is currently accepting clients for in-person and/or virtual counseling sessions.

Neurodivergent brains learn and process information differently than neurotypical brains. As such, it is important to consider instructional and environmental accommodations in school. Accommodations might include allowing the use of sensory regulation tools, scheduling breaks throughout the school day, breaking tasks down into individual steps, or using assistive technology.

Life in Colour Psychology offers autism assessments for preschool and school-aged children, as well as for adults.

Autism is a brain-based difference in how a person communicates and regulates within their environment. Autistic children and adults can experience social and sensory burnout from trying to keep up with expectations placed on them in school, work, or in their relationships with others.

Assessments can help to identify and advocate for accommodations to support autistic children and adults in their everyday lives.
