I love this little family unit. Receiving their baby into their waiting arms. ♥️

"This photo is so damn awesome. I love how it captures the moment of birth and it's completely about the parents and the baby. They are birthing and receiving their child themselves. And the woman is lying on her side: a fantastic, gravity-neutral, restful position which gives the pelvis room to adjust to baby's descent.
There are people who see an image like this and it might be the first time they've seen someone other than a medical professional receiving the baby. It might be the first time they've seen a woman give birth while lying on her side.
If you don't see images like this, you might not know what is possible; you might not really know what options are available to you.
And that's why I believe positive birth Instagram accounts, pages, birth films and stories are vitally important for pregnant women.
They show all the different ways that women birth their babies and they highlight options that might not even occur to us.
Hypnobirthing is pivotal too; the course I teach centres on knowledge, education and empowerment. It asks expectant parents to make informed decisions and seek out information so that they are ready for birth.
