So many chase success and arrive near the top of the mountain, only to find it cold, lonely, and empty of joy.
May I humbly ask: what’s the point of winning the world if you’ve lost your soul along the way? You definitely don’t always have to be working to be building a magnificent life, you know?
Sometimes, just being—fully present, awake to the wonder and deeply alive—is the real triumph. And the lasting win.
Research from elite performance science confirms it:
Recovery is not a luxury. It’s a necessity.
Top athletes, world-class entrepreneurs, and creative geniuses all perform better not by doing more—but by doing smarter. And resting a lot!
The brain produces its best insights not when it’s grinding—but when it’s recovering, relaxing and renewing. I’m here in a tiny cottage on a vast vineyard, locked away, writing my new book and planning out my next 50 years. I’m out of operations and into the quiet (where real insight lives). It is special.
Your most creative ideas often emerge in moments of stillness: walking in nature, watching a sunset, sipping tea in silence and solitude.
Rest renews. Recovery restores. Stillness leads to breakthroughs.
So give yourself permission to pause.
To slow down.
To breathe, reflect, and just be.
That’s not wasting time. It’s using your life well.
The world has fooled us into believing that hustle is the holy grail.
But a life rich in meaning, creativity, awe, love, peace, and purpose—that’s true wealth.
And often, the bravest move isn’t doing more.
It’s doing less. And enjoying the fruits of your precious labor.
