Hi, I'm Arthi, I have fond memories growing up on a farm, sinking little girl feet into the mud, being a little wild, spending hours in the pastures and becoming one with the herd. I also have memories of a shattered sense of the present and the future that roots from my journey of complex childhood trauma. It led to my own path of becoming a healer, Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist
& Registered Psychotherapist. Thus the birth of Dancing Goat Therapy Farm. I am trained in various Therapeutic modalities Dance movement Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based CBT & Hypnotherapy. I work with ages 8 years - 80 years. Today I am living my dreams of helping others discover and live theirs through the magic of the great outdoors and animals as my co-therapist.

Good news at 3 AM.

After days of uncertainty in Abu Dhabi, loud knocks on our hotel door woke us up with unexpected news.

“There’s a flight leaving for JFK at 8 AM. If you want it, you need to go now.”

Within minutes we jumped out of bed, threw our things into our bags, and rushed downstairs where a school bus was waiting to take stranded families to the airport.

Today the only North American flight leaving is to New York… and we’re on it.

We are incredibly grateful for all the prayers, messages, and love. We truly feel protected and carried through this journey.

We may not be landing in Canada yet, but reaching North America feels like the first real step toward home.

Next stop: New York. 🇺🇸

And hopefully soon… home to Canada. 🇨🇦

Just after the sun slipped below the horizon, the sky filled with missiles last night. 🇦🇪🇮🇷

We went to the desert to take a break from all the chaos as we still wait for news on flights home to 🇨🇦 .

Instead, the sky above us lit up.

As we sat there as a family, missile interceptors and drones suddenly streaked across the night sky. Loud explosions echoed across the desert and the vibrations travelled through the sand beneath our feet. The sound was so powerful it moved through your chest.

For a moment, it felt like we were sitting in the middle of a war zone.

Those sounds… the flashes in the sky… those are memories that will take a long time to fade.

In moments like that you feel two things at the same time.

Fear… and deep gratitude.

Gratitude that we were together as a family.
Gratitude that we are safe.

An hr after, alerts came through on our phones letting everyone know the situation was under control and that it was safe to continue our evening. Even in a moment like that, the systems here helped reassure people quickly and restore a sense of calm.

Our kids should be heading back to school after March break. Instead, they are waiting with uncertainty about when we will be able to return home.

To their friends in Fredericton, the kids send their love and say they miss you all so much & can’t wait for things to feel normal again.
A heartfelt thank you to Veera’s teacher for checking in, that gesture meant the world to him and reminded him how special his school and teachers truly are. Now he can’t wait to be back in class.

A family from Fredericton that we met here has safely arrived back in Canada today. Hearing that brought us a lot of reassurance and hope that we may soon be on our way home as well.

Today we simply ask for prayers for peace and for the day when the skies above everywhere are quiet again.

If you know any Canadian families currently in Abu Dhabi waiting for flights home, please tag them here so we can connect. 🇨🇦✌🏻️

Day 5 Update from Abu Dhabi

After months living close to nature in conscious communities in India, we never imagined our journey home would pause here in Abu Dhabi.

We are safe and grateful for everyone checking in.

Back home in New Brunswick,
Our llamas have been wintering on a friend’s farm and they are keeping them a little longer until we can return.
Coco is also being lovingly cared for by our loving friends Amanda brewer and family.

Five days in, we’re staying calm and grateful, but we miss the farm deeply and are getting a little restless to be home.

Are there any other Canadian families currently in Abu Dhabi waiting on flights home?

If you know someone here, please tag them.

We would really love to connect, share a meal, or simply meet others going through the same situation.

Canadians have a way of finding each other around the world. 🇨🇦

Follow along if you’d like to see our journey home and what unfolds at the farm as we prepare for spring and begin building our Summer Village at Dancing Goat Therapy Farm.

Unique moments from our travels. An outdoor sound-based space where carefully crafted instruments are placed in nature under trees, open sky, earth beneath you.

You lie down or sit quietly while facilitators play gongs, chimes, metal and earth-based instruments, allowing sound to move through the space and through the body.

The experience works through vibration.
Sound waves interact directly with the nervous system, breath, muscles, and internal rhythms. The body responds naturally often slowing down, softening, releasing stored tension.

What makes this place special is the care behind it:

• the relationship with sound as medicine
• the way instruments are chosen and placed
• the respect for silence, pauses, and the natural environment
• the intention to let the body lead

You can feel that someone sat with each instrument. Listened deeply. Asked, where does this belong?

This space feels co-created by people, by earth, by vibration.🌿🎶
Being there made me realize how much unseen work goes into creating true healing spaces.
This isn’t random sound.
It’s thoughtful placement. Careful tuning. Deep listening. A relationship with materials, land, and resonance.

And it sparked something in me.

This spring at Dancing Goat Therapy Farm, we are beginning to intentionally create our own outdoor healing space rooted in nature, animals, sound, and nervous system safety.

That level of care doesn’t appear overnight. It’s cultivated.

We’re looking for aligned collaborators sound healers, carpenters, creatives, land stewards , volunteers who value thoughtful design and nervous system safety.

If this resonates, send a message.
Let’s build something meaningful together. 🌿🎶

This is a question I keep returning to as a parent.

How much do we protect our children from struggle and how much do we protect them from living a life that isn’t theirs?

There are seasons when life feels heavier than it should.

And sometimes the bravest thing we can do is ask for support.

Melissa is opening space for new clients. She works beautifully with teens and adults, offering a grounded, compassionate place to explore anxiety, relationships, grief, identity, and the tender parts of being human.

She brings a strong mind-body understanding into the room and meets each person with empathy and curiosity.

✨ New Moon Solar Eclipse Guidance ✨
Year of the Fire Horse begins.

We are transitioning from the introspective shedding of the Snake into the bold momentum of the Horse.

Right now you may notice:
• Old emotional patterns resurfacing
• Relationships shifting
• A desire for clarity or closure

This is not regression.
It’s integration.

The eclipse reveals what has been hidden so you can move into this new cycle lighter, clearer, freer.

Pause. Witness. Release.

WHAT’S THE GUIDANCE AWAITING YOU FROM THE ORACLE?

Pick a card number and type it below.

**I will offer readings to the first 5 people who comment below.

I will send the readings over the span of the next several days.

(Big shout out to the Goddess Power Oracle deck by Colette Baron- Reid)!

Happy eclipse portal, everyone!

Only days into this tragedy,
and the grief feels so heavy.

We are remembering the children who lost their lives.
We are holding their families close to our hearts.
We are grieving with that community.
We stay present with our own.

Since that day, we have been sitting in deeper conversations with friends, family, and clients.

About fear.
About overwhelm.
About how this has shaken so many of us.

“I’m scared.”
“My teen seems off.”
“They want to leave school.”
“They feel overwhelmed.”
“I don’t know if I’m doing enough.”

Some have asked about unschooling.

As a mom who has partially unschooled and as a therapist who works with teens every week, here is what I truly believe:

There is no perfect system.

School has its pros and its pressures.
Home has its freedom and its challenges.

Changing systems does not automatically calm a nervous system.

Connection does.

This week I sat my own teens down.

We talked about the kids who lost their lives.
We talked about compassion.
We talked about not turning tragedy into blame.
We talked about how pain spreads when it is not supported.

I asked them:
How are you feeling?
Does this make you anxious?
Do you feel safe?
What feels heavy right now?

And then I listened.

No lecturing.
No fixing.
Just presence.

Parents, this is the work.

Not reacting to social media.
Not spiraling into fear.

Staying steady enough to hold our children’s fear.

If your teen feels different lately, more withdrawn, more anxious, more irritable, more overwhelmed, do not panic.

Lean in.

Have the conversation.
Sit on the edge of their bed.
Drive without music.
Stay curious.

And if you feel like you do not know how to hold that space, that is okay.

You do not have to do it alone.

The need for teen mental health support right now is real.
And early support matters more than we realize.

We remember the children.
We hold the families.
And we show up better for the ones still in our homes.

If you or your teen simply need a space to talk and process what has happened in our country, we are offering a limited number of pro bono sessions for those in need.

Sometimes what helps most is just being able to say out loud,
“This affected me more than I expected.”

You do not have to carry that alone please send us a message.

When we abandon our teenagers, everyone pays the price.

This happened here in Canada.
And that makes it all of ours to face.

Before these children have even been laid to rest, the headlines are already dividing us.

They want us fighting over labels.

But let’s talk about teenagers.

Because this is what I see every week in my therapy room:

Teens who are overwhelmed.
Teens who feel invisible.
Teens under pressure to define themselves before they even understand themselves.
Teens quietly hurting inside nervous systems that feel constantly on fire.

This isn’t about politics.

It’s about mental health.

Teenagers don’t need louder debates.
They need safety.
Steady adults.
Boundaries with compassion.
Support before solutions.

As a mother of teens & a therapist I’ll say this clearly:

Every teen deserves dignity, love, and real mental health care when they are struggling.

Not silence.
Not shame.
Not noise.

Care.

If your teen feels “off,” don’t wait for a crisis.

Early intervention matters.

No child should go without help because of money.
And no parent should feel alone navigating this.

We are offering limited pro bono and sliding-scale teen sessions for families who need support.

Reach out privately.
Or share this so it reaches someone who does.

Our children are nervous systems that need safety.
And we can do better.
