Let's Work.crmhaa

Let's Work.crmhaa Let's Work provides Employment Counselling services to those experiencing mental health barriers to gaining employment and maintaining employment.

To access Let’s Work services, individuals would be considered “workforce-ready". To be workforce ready there is an assumption that one can gain and maintain employment with or without supports in place. Those accessing our services would need to be able to dedicate a reasonable amount of time to job searching and be willing to engage in various activities (some independently) as outlined in the individualized employment action plan created with a Let's Work Employment Counsellor. Neurodiversity Pride Day – June 16th
Mental Health & Neurodiversity: Let’s embrace neurodiversity in the workplace, at home, and in the community.
Current Evidence: Around 50–70% of neurodivergent individuals experience some degree of mental health concerns.
Gender Expression & Mental Health: Emerging evidence suggests that neurodivergent individuals who are socially perceived as female experience higher rates of mental health concerns than those perceived as male.
Most Common Diagnoses: Depression, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are frequently reported among neurodivergent individuals.
Barriers to Treatment:
Low understanding of neurodivergence among mental health practitioners
Communication difficulties & sensory sensitivities
Lack of coordination between community services
Misinterpretation of neurodivergence, leading to underdiagnosis or inadequate treatment
Wraparound Services:
Mental health support shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Neurodivergent individuals can benefit from holistic, personalized care—true support means seeing the whole person, not just their diagnosis.
By adopting wraparound services, we can provide coordinated care that integrates healthcare, education, employment, social connection, and advocacy. It’s time to move beyond ineffective “band-aid fixes” and build sustainable systems for long-term well-being.

Mental Fitness Matters!
We’ve all heard of physical fitness… but have you heard of mental fitness? Simple activities like reading, playing games, and even practicing relaxation techniques can boost your mental fitness.
Taking care of your mind reduces stress, enhances memory, and improves emotional wellbeing. A healthy brain leads to a healthier you!
When trying to prioritize your mental fitness, remember: small daily habits can make a big difference. Take a few minutes daily to invest in your mental well-being—your brain will thank you!
