Hi there! I'm Melissa Murray, and I'm a Registered Social Worker in Fredericton, N.B.

I just completed a training on an enhanced version of EMDR. More effective and more efficient. It is a fantastic therapy for PTSD (among other things). If you're struggling and would like help with traumatic memories, please come see me. I would love to help.

In light of the most recent events, I would like to encourage anyone who is scared, uncertain, confused, etc, to reach out. I will be here if you want to talk.

"With the Holiday season upon us our days can be extra busy with lots to manage, and that can bring up both joy and pain in our days. Joy and pain can both exist at the same time; if you find this Holiday season you could use some support around grief, we have our Loss Support Group starting a new round of sessions beginning Thursday, January 18th. If this could be helpful to you, we invite you to give us a call or email to connect, and we can provide further details for You. Keep taking care of You this Holiday season."

Happy holidays to everyone. To those who find the holiday season difficult for whatever reason, I see you. Reach out if you need to talk. Let me know if I can help.

Have you ever had someone ask you to define yourself? It’s tough! I’m the sum of the many parts of my life. I’m a wife and mother, I’m a daughter and sister, I’m an avid gamer and my idea of a great time is cooking food for a bunch of people and playing video games.
My education is wide spread. I’ve completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Thomas University, a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University, along with various training courses.
I’ve volunteered with AIDS New Brunswick, taught the STEPPS program for people diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, and one day I plan to do my Master’s in Social Work.
My areas of focus are Grief and Loss, Anxiety and Depression Support, Relationship issue, and I am a proud LGBTQ+ ally.
Counselling and Mental Health appealed to me as a career choice for a variety of reasons, but ultimately the most important was because I wanted to genuinely help people. I use a client centered eclectic approach, where I determine after our initial meeting what might be the best fit for you.
