You don’t have to coerce yourself to take action...and if you HAVE been trying that, how’s it working out?
Here’s something you might not have tried that is actually much more effective... GIVE yourself the experience of having ALREADY achieved what you’re reaching for.
You don’t need to imagine all the steps in between, just tune into how it would FEEL to have accomplished that thing (whether it’s finishing a project, being free of anxiety, being fit and active... ANYTHING).
What you’re doing is giving your subconscious mind NEW input. You’re TEACHING it that the goal you want is POSSIBLE and SAFE (becuase here you are ‘experiencing’ it - so it must be real - and here are you being safe - so it must be safe to experience it).
Your subconscious is NOT logical, but it’s VERY emotional. So when you feed it positive emotions while holding the image or general focus on having what you want, you’re connecting the two.
And your subconscious mind says:
“Okay, this is who you are and how you feel. Let’s automate it and make it so natural you don’t even have to try.”
So give it a go. The next time you notice you’re trying to manipulate yourself, just pause close your eyes, and FEEL into having already succeeded. Allow that feeling to be there for a minute and THEN carry on.
