Mako Diving & Marine Services (MDMS) provides specialized diving, marine, and technical support services to construction/engineering clients, police agencies and other professional clients. We are seeking a Mechanical, Electronics & Logistics Technician with a strong background in electronics and electrical systems. This is a hands-on role critical to keeping our equipment, vehicles, and response systems operational and deployment-ready.
If you enjoy problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and working in a safety-critical environment where your work directly supports field operations, this role may be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electrical systems used in marine and underwater operations
• Support and maintain systems such as cameras, lighting, communications, power distribution, cabling, batteries, and monitoring equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on Rapid Response Trailers (RRTs), Dive Support Vessels (DSVs), vehicles, and associated equipment
• Assist with mechanical maintenance and general equipment servicing as required
• Lead and support equipment mobilization and demobilization (Mob/Demob) for field operations
• Transport company and customer equipment, including trailered loads and sensitive electronics
• Ensure shop safety, security, cleanliness, and operational readiness
• Participate in meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong background in electronics and/or electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic faults
• Comfortable performing mechanical repairs and general equipment maintenance
• Ability to safely operate vehicles, vessels and trailers (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong attention to prioritization, detail, organization, and documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Schedule
• Standard hours: 0800–1600, Monday to Friday. Weekends may be required depending on the projects we have ongoing, and the work that needs to be completed.
