Day well spent at Parliament Hill in Ottawa for Hill Day 2025 🇨🇦

The Special Olympics NB office staff, athlete Kate Mcfee, and volunteer/ coach Luanne Rafferty, had the pleasure of attending Parliament Hill to meet New Brunswick’s parliament representatives.

Today we were able to meet and speak with Associate Deputy Minister, Andrew Brown (captured in photo one) and Senator, Victor Boudreau (captured in photo two). We had the opportunity to share local New Brunswick stories and the lifelong impact it leaves on our athletes.

Thank you so much to the government of Canada for all you do for the Special Olympics Canada organization and the Special Olympics movement. 🍁

📣Team New Brunswick roster announcement for 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat, AB is here! 📣

Congratulations to all of the athletes, coaches, and mission staff selected to participate in the 2026 Summer Games.

From August 11th-15th, 2026 1,700 athletes from across the country will meet in Medicine Hat to compete in 10 different inclusive sports. 🇨🇦
