Individuals **turning 75 this year (born in 1946) and older can now book vaccinations through their pharmacy.

Individuals with COMPLEX and CHRONIC medical conditions (https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/corporate/promo/covid-19/vaccine/complex-medical-conditions.html) are now eligible to register. You must review the list of COMPLEX or CHRONIC medical conditions and at the time of your appointment you must present this signed Declaration (https://www2.gnb.ca/content/dam/gnb/Departments/eco-bce/Promo/covid-19/declaration-e.pdf). (If you cannot print the declaration form, one will be available at the appointment to complete before you can receive a vaccine.)

You should not need documentation from your family doctor to support COMPLEX or CHRONIC medical conditions.

Follow-up of Influenza (Flu) Shot Vaccine Side-effects from 2020/21 season and Vaccination Side-effects with COVID-19 Vaccines.

In November 2020, Public Health notified physicians and the public of a potential cluster of 3 serious side-effects from a batch of Flulaval Tetra vaccines. Today we received more information on this situation. The vaccine manufacturer, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Health Canada have reviewed the situation and concluded that there was no causal relationship between this batch of vaccine and the 3 reported cases. That is to say the batch was untainted.

Vaccination side-effects are, for the most part, a consequence of the intended immune response they create. On January 9th I received my second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Miramichi. As expected there were some mild side-effects.
