๐ Itโs time for your weekly construction update! We have lots of upcoming traffic impacts and updates, so please read carefully:
๐ The Prospect Street and Patience Lane detour is changing to Phase 4 starting in the late evening on Tuesday, September 2, and residents will see the new detour in effect beginning Wednesday, September 3. ๐ Please review our updated map for the upcoming detour: https://bit.ly/44LXsfp

Lincoln Road is now complete, marking a crucial step in improving infrastructure, reducing flood risks, and ensuring reliable utilities for residents.

George Street work is also complete, including the renewal of underground water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer mains.
๐ The Summer Soulsa parade will take place downtown on Saturday, August 30, starting at 6:20pm, with traffic impacts on Queen and King Streets during the event, and Carleton Street closures in place for the weekend.
๐ฃ The current Riverside Drive closure will be completed today. Beginning next week, the road will remain open to two-way traffic with lane shifts and traffic control personnel in place as crews complete curbing and asphalt work near Hamilton and Bridgeview Courts. Please slow down and drive with care to help keep crews and residents safe.
๐ถ The Lincoln Trail (near Aberdeen Street) will be closed to users for several weeks starting in September. This closure is required for maintenance work on a well that supplies drinking water for our city, and users are asked to follow posted trail detour signs.
๐ท From September 2 to 5, King Street will be closed to through traffic between 5:00am and 2:00pm for construction of the Justice Building. This closure will take place between Carleton and Regent Street, though access to NB Power and local residents will be maintained.
๐ณ Starting Wednesday, September 8, work will begin on the new Killarney Natural Play Park at Killarney Lake Park. Construction will continue into late fall and winter, and for everyoneโs safety, the trail from the upper parking lot to the beach will be closed during this time.
๐ต Killarney Lake Park Mountain bike trail work will begin Wednesday, September 3, with crews starting work on the skills park and mountain biking trails. Please use caution in the area.
๐ Paving is now complete on Canterbury, Fisher Avenue, Hachey Avenue, Mayland Court, and Meadow Green Court, while crews are currently working on York and Lisgar Streets and moving to City View soon. Please expect delays in active construction zones.
๐ท Construction is also continuing at Main Street, Crocket Street, Springhill Road, Brianna Park Trail, Downing Street Park, Clayton Court Park, Nashwaak Trail Bridge (Gibson Trail), the Sanitary Trunk Sewer project, Guardian Memorial, Wellington Court, Northumberland Street, Pugh Street, and Ascot Drive.
