Here is an important update on the future of virtual care in NB. Thankfully, it does appear that we will still be able to access our test results through the MyHealthNB portal even after we transition away from Maple and EvisitNB for virtual healthcare services in the province.

Virtual care remains an important service to New Brunswickers. eVisitNB will continue to provide virtual care as we transition to a new vendor in June, with the goal of a full transition following the extension.

eVisitNB and MyHealthNB have been valuable resources in helping our patients, many of whom do not have a family doctor (GP) or nurse practitioner, obtain necessary medical testing and easily access the results of these tests. We have spent countless hours educating our patients on how to navigate these online resources. With the pending changeover to Foundever Assistance Services Group on April 1st, 2026, it might be wise to get any pending tests completed prior to the end of March. We are always here to help you through the process and also to interpret the significance of your test results. We anticipate a steep learning curve in April, but we are up for the challenge! Many patients are surprised when we discourage them from eating processed meats because it increases cancer risk ("Don't take away my bacon!!").
