Through a combination of physical postures, meditation, breathing and being present in mind and body, yoga for fertility can help you to find peace and comfort. Trying to conceive can be a stressful time even when things go right. Having infertility and undergoing fertility treatments creates additional stress that may seem unmanageable. Yoga for fertility combines mind-body techniques, yoga posture, meditation and breath work to release stress, promoting a sense of well-being. It can also be beneficial to connect with others experiencing similar stressors. YOGA POSTURES
Gentle yoga postures are sequenced to promote physical relaxation. The postures accommodate fertility treatments and are completely safe. As a Registered Yoga Teacher and Fertility Yoga Specialist, I offer a safe program suitable for your individual needs, even if you are undergoing IVF. However, it is always wise to discuss any new activity with your physician. Yoga postures open the pelvis and stimulate the chakras associated with fertility and reproduction. Throughout the class, postures combined with breathing and meditation aim to restore physical and emotional balance. Poses that increase circulation to the pelvis and reproductive organs, release physical tension, promote deep relaxation and mind-body awareness all come together in this gentle, highly restorative practice. Yoga for fertility promotes a healthy lifestyle and provides tools for integration into your daily life. Body awareness is a key component of yoga for fertility. You will learn to recognize signs of stress and how they may be manifesting physically and emotionally. These are the first steps towards managing stress constructively. Relaxation and stress management, promoting a healthy lifestyle, gentle yoga, breath work and meditation form the foundation of yoga for fertility. Fertility yoga is also an emotional practice. Self-awareness and introspection are integral steps toward acceptance of feelings. My own fertility journey has shaped my life forever. At this time of personal need, I discovered the teachings of fertility yoga. I endeavour to share the solace, serenity and support of this practice to others facing similar challenges.
