I am passionate about food and fitness and love sharing new recipes with everyone I meet! My drive to live a healthier life began when I became a certified group fitness leader in 2004. Six years later, with thousands of hours of teaching under my belt and encouraged by the wonderfully positive feedback from my students, I decided to start my own fitness and nutrition business. Fall 2012 will mark another milestone in my career - joining SFL. I have joined a Canadian Network of more than 36 Clinics to offer a more sophisticated level of nutrition to my
clients. As we age, nutrition becomes a more important factor in keeping our body as healthy as possible. I have learned that no matter what fitness level you are at, you need strength. Strength not only incorporates how much weight you can lift during a workout, but how quickly you can lift your spirits when you’re having an “off” day. Having overcome an eating disorder myself I have conquered many of the mental and physical challenges that come with having a positive body image. Today, I am proud to say I love what my body can do for me and how food is the fuel that keeps me moving. One of the highlights of my career was in the fall of 2010, I conducted a month long bootcamp for the St. It was an honour and a thrill to coach young athletes. Their effort each day was relentless and it was truly inspiring to help them create a more positive body image of
themselves. No matter how young or old we may be, we all have to eat. My burning desire is to help people see beyond the artificial numbers on the scales and to get them to start eating properly to live a more active life, a life that is free of chronic pain and medications. There is nothing I enjoy more than grabbing random ingredients from my pantry and making up my own healthy recipes. With a few staple ingredients and some imagination, you can create some delicious, yet healthy meals that will keep you going all day long. Healthy eating does not mean depriving yourself. By incorporating healthy eating habits into your busy life-styles, you will be doing not
only yourself, but your family a big favor. I love helping people get themselves and their families back to the dinner table, together! I look forward to seeing you at the Clinic!
