The Care Department is responsible for providing resident care. JOB PURPOSE:

We are currently looking for a full-time permanent Executive Assistance / Finance Director to join our team.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Executive Assistance / Finance Director will co-ordinate the administrative procedures and perform all main office duties. Your understanding of the operations involved in a nursing home will allow you to prepare reports and statements, operate office equipment, verify and process forms and documents and perform general clerical duties according to established procedures, including communication with staff, clients and the public, providing high quality services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complete all financial reports and submit to Administrator monthly for review and presentation to the finance committee of the Board of Directors.
• Prepare documents and reports to be submitted to auditors, Social Development, and other stakeholders.
• Establish & maintain a system for the management and safekeeping of resident trust accounts.
• Maintain and process all Payable and Receivable accounts, payroll related duties, budget and related documentation.
• Prepare and maintain personal files and orientation materials.
• Participate on various committees and undertake special projects as assigned by the Administrator and/or Director of Care.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies & procedures.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies, which includes the Back in Form program, and accepting responsibility for the safety of any personal workspace; reporting concerns as needed.

Orchard View Long Term care is seeking a casual person (non-guaranteed hours) to pick up shifts in Utility Maintenance and/or House Keeping.
Accountabilities:
1. To perform ongoing maintenance and repairs of the nursing home buildings, grounds, systems and equipment in conjunction with the plant manager and/or as directed by senior management.
2. To perform scheduled cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, surfaces and equipment.
3. To sweep, scrub and mop floors as well as strip, wax, buff and seal floors using floor care machines.
4. Tp perform collection of garbage and waste disposal.
5. Tp provide a wide range of utility tasks including preventative maintenance and related services required to ensure a safe, clean, efficient and sanitary environment for our residents, staff and visitors.
6. To assist in the development of routines, policies and procedures, providing training for and instruction to nursing home personnel. To prepare, maintain, inspect, document and update logs/records relating to usage and safety prevention.
7. To be knowledgeable of the operational policies and procedures of the home, the norms and practices of the nursing home and participate in training and employee programs as approved by management.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of a continuous program of maintenance, preventative maintenance, energy management and security within established standards, policies and procedures.
9. Be familiar with all products and equipment used within the nursing home environment.
10. Maintain a customer service focus when responding to staff, residents and families.
11. Participate in quality of service activities, staff meetings and committee meetings.
12. Aide (as assigned) out-source agencies with regular maintenance and inspection services.
13. Assist with (general) Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and Fire Safety Prevention Training.
14. Keeps all work areas and equipment clean and in good working order.
15. Observe and practice all safety rules and regulations.
16. Indoor and outdoor work, some seasonally inhospitable and other work environments.
17. Occasional heavy and/or awkward lifting.
18. Heights, as associated with utility and building maintenance.

Qualifications:
1. High school Diploma or Equivalent and must be 18 years of age or older

6. Demonstrate ability to work as a team member.
7. Demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution, communication and collaboration skills.
