Green Shield Canada has launched the Essential Medicines Program to help Canadians get up to $1000/year in prescriptions* delivered to their door free of charge. Through the generosity of a grant, we have been able to bring Ayla McMillan on as our Essential Medicines Access Coordinator for Galiano. Ayla will be helping our community navigate the waters of the program to the shores of support. If you or anyone you know may benefit from this program please reach out to ayla.mcmillan@galianohealth.org for more information or help with an application.

*not all prescriptions, see https://www.greenshield.ca/en-ca/cares/essential-medicines for details, or ask once she's up and running!

GreenShield Cares' essential medicines program helps bridge the accessibility divide, ensuring all Canadians can access the medications they need.

Have a question about clinic services or local health resources?

We’ve launched a new Frequently Asked Questions page to help you find clear answers more quickly.

Our Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) receive many of the same questions each day, and we know that sometimes you need information right away. The new FAQ brings together answers to the questions we hear most often, along with links to reliable resources we regularly share with patients.

We encourage you to check the FAQ first whenever you’re looking for information. It’s available any time and helps reduce phone delays so our MOAs can focus on assisting those who need direct support.

If your question isn’t covered there, or if you still need to speak with someone, please call the clinic at 250‑539‑3230. Our current phone hours are always up to date here:
https://galianohealth.org/primary-health-care/

Visit the FAQ here:

Thank you for helping us serve the whole community as efficiently and kindly as possible.
