📌🔆The clinic will be CLOSED on Monday, January 19th from noon onward so that the practitioners and staff may participate in the KAIROS Blanket Exercise together. We are grateful to the Facilitators for making the journey to share this with us, and to the Rural Coordination Centre of BC for their contribution. Thank you also to the team of our intrepid board members who organized this important work.

About the KBE:
The KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE) is an experiential teaching tool that explores the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the land we now know as Canada.

THANK YOU GALIANO!

What an incredible way to welcome in 2026. We are so grateful for those who showed up to cheer the swimmers on, and to support the POLAR BRRR swim.

🤩 A few of the highlights 🤩
3 determined competitors Kendall, Trevor and a young man (please let me know their name so we can acknowledge them) braved the icy waters and set out to be last ones out of the water. 30 minutes for these absolute legends.

We also want to honour Ken Kucille, who started this event over 16 years ago and once again led the way into the water.

A huge thank you to the Wilson and Matson families for keeping everyone fuelled with hot dogs and to Scott our Polar Bear for bringing the fun! The piñata was an added thrill for the Chill-Dren. Seeing our friends and family gathered around the fire was a reminder of what makes our community special.

Thank you to Fire Chief Scott Sugden for your presence and to Jessie Koster for the count down and the Ambulance crew.

We are deeply thankful for every donation and pledge and for the swimmers of all ages; you made a difference. Thank you for generously building this healthy community. We couldn’t do it without you 🥰

If you were planning to drop off a lab sample tomorrow, please instead bring your sample on Friday December 12th between 7am and 9:30 when the lab technician will be on site.
