Today we proudly celebrated a major milestone for Carveth Care Centre and the Gananoque community with an official groundbreaking ceremony alongside the Province of Ontario. Thank you to Minister Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, MPP Steve Clark, Mayor John Beddows, and all of our residents, families, staff, community partners and nursing dignitaries who joined us as we look ahead to the future of long-term care in our community. This redevelopment will help create a modern, welcoming home for generations to come.

We wrapped up Nursing Week this afternoon with a special Years of Service Presentation celebrating the dedication and commitment of our amazing nursing staff. Congratulations to the following team members celebrating work anniversaries this year: 10 Years – Linda Millar, Glory Mendoza & Joelene Johnson; 15 Years – Melissa Jones & Sheena Agius; 20 Years – Vicky Truesdell & Lynn Vereecken; 25 Years – Carol Campbell & Kelly Forbes. Nursing Week celebrations continue with plenty of laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition! Our staff have been enjoying a variety of fun activities throughout the week as we recognize the incredible dedication and compassion of our nursing team. On Day Two of Nursing Week (Tuesday), staff enjoyed Traffic Cone Ring Toss. Congratulations to our winners: Palak, Judy, Kelly, Rhonda, and Faye! On Day Three (Wednesday), staff enjoyed Nurse Bingo.
