What is Sclerotherapy?

A procedure that involves injecting a solution to eliminate Varicose / Spider Veins

It is a treatment that is completed by a trained RN or MD to treat “ malformations of blood vessels ”

It is minimally invasive

It can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 60 minutes depending on treatment options

It will shrink and dissolve these small dilated blood vessels that occur near the surface of the skin and result in the body then naturally absorbing them .

It can improve

- leg cramps
- leg swelling
- leg “ burning sensation” especially for those who have a ln occupation that requires them to sit for several hours a day
- leg cramping at night
- appearance of lower limbs

The most common causes include

- hereditary
- pregnancy
- occupation that involves sitting or standing for lengthy periods of time
- age
- sedentary lifestyle
- overweight

Once treated successfully, these veins do no re-appear and the circulation of blood will be forced through the healthier veins

It may require more than one treatment and the veins that are treated should disappear from immediately to up to four weeks and should not re occur .

Because I love visuals and my memory needs visuals , CRT will be providing “ post procedure care cards “ … they will include the following information to help you when your procedure is completed , as an easy access grab, in case you’re like me , and forget more then I remember 💗

Post Op Botox Care

- No physical Exercise for 24 hours
- No Alcohol consumption for 24 hours
- No Heat exposure for 24 hours
- No laying down flat for 4 hours
- No touching or massaging face in the treatment areas

Post Op Filler Care

- No physical exercise for 24 hours
- No Alcohol consumption for 24 hours
- Stay hydrated with water
- Apply cold compress gently as needed
- Avoid Heat and Tanning immediately afterwards and up 3 days
- Avoid dentist appts for up to 4 weeks post lip filler

Post op Sclerotherapy Care:

- Wear compression stockings
- Avoid swimming and tub baths for 2-3 days
- You may walk lots , this actually improves the success
- Avoid exposure to hot sunlight and hot tubs for several days

This little tips for post procedure care will help assist in ensuring you have the most successful outcomes 💗

This is Sclerotherapy …. The medically induced removal of varicose and spider veins …

Today I completed my clinical component of completion

I practiced on booked patients as well as became a patient myself so I could video tape for you how it works , how it feels and to demonstrate how quick and painless it is

I Didn’t flinch , I was completely comfortable and the last couple of seconds of the video you will see the magic

I only believe in treating patients with what I would want to be treated with!

Hope you enjoy the video to start the teachable process of what Sclerotherapy is and how excited CRT will be to offer this and be the first Nurse led Clinic in Central , and perhaps the Island to offer this !

Full information to follow, along with processes and policies ….however I know everyone will want to know a general price point … so depending on 1 or two factors to be determined CRT is hoping to offer this at $200 for 30 injections . You may require several treatments or you may have some noticeable disappearance like I had immediately ! I had about 30 injections and it took about 20 minutes !

And I felt nothing , a mosquito bite has hurt more !

All results will vary and all applicable processes and guidelines will be followed in the coming weeks to offer up this service !

And yes , it “ can” be a permanent so lotion for those veins treated 💗

And legally I will follow with “ results will vary “ 💗

I’m pretty excited and it’s pretty amazing …..💗

CRT has ensured to spend the right amount of time and training from an MD and two Venious Nurse injectors through the Canadian Board of Medical Aesthetics to bring this service back to the Rock💗
