This past week, I had the incredible honour of receiving the Early Career Alumni Award from Dalhousie University’s School of Dentistry. It’s truly one of the biggest highlights of my career so far!

I was so grateful for the chance to speak with alumni, faculty, and students about something that means so much to me — access to care — and to be recognized for my work in independent practice. This award isn’t just about what I’ve done, but about what it represents: innovation, accessibility, and the power of prevention-focused care.

If I could share one piece of advice, it would be this: keep going, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to step into spaces you once thought were out of reach. You never know where your journey might take you. 💙
