“The right choice is hardly ever the easy choice.” - Rick Riordan

Well, the time has come to share the news I think we all knew would come eventually… As most of you know, I’ve been travelling back and forth to Gander after having moved to Corner Brook.

Over the last 3 years, my husband and I have fallen more and more in love with the west coast and we know we won’t be leaving any time soon. The back and forth has become quite daunting with navigating winter driving, not being home to help out with our little funny farm, and ultimately not being able to give 100% to either my Gander practice nor Corner Brook.

I’m saddened to say that as of January 2026 I will no longer be practicing in Gander.

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone I’ve had the opportunity of treating since opening in 2018 and to everyone who’s supported my business in any way. A special thank you to my clients who stuck it out with me since moving to Corner Brook - you all made my weeks in Gander something to look forward to, and have a major hand in why this decision is so hard.
And lastly, a big thanks to Suzanne, my business partner since opening our space together in the Polaris Building in 2022. I already miss working alongside you and make this the toughest decision of all.

This is not a goodbye! But a see you later. I grew up in Gander and my family is still there. When I can, I will host a pop-up if the interest is there. And if you ever find yourself on the beautiful west coast of NL needing osteopathy, I’m just a phone call away (or text, because we all know how afraid millennials are of calling, right? 😂)

For your osteopathy needs in central, Gander has some great practitioners:
- Heather Hefford, RMT, DOMP, CLT (709)424-3870 (taking new osteopathy clients)
- Sean Anstey, MScPT, BScKin, DOMP (wait list for Gander and GFW)

Thanks again, and Happy Holidays 🎄

I recently spent 4 days in Edmonton completing my Canine Advanced Osteopathic Techniques Masterclass with two amazing osteopaths from England and a great group of like-minded women! 🐶
It was amazing to have the opportunity to work on so many dogs, from 10months old to 18 years old and all different sizes, breeds and temperaments! I am feeling more confident and super excited to start seeing canine patients soon! 😄

And seeing I’d gone that far west and have never visited the mountains, what better time to take advantage and have a little vacation! Josh met me on the last day of class and we made our way to Jasper, then on to Yoho and finished our trip in Banff. Swipe to see some pictures! 🏔️

I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone.
The last 7 years has been nothing short of awesome! And it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our amazing communities!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuous support 🩵

Looking forward to what year 8 might have in store! 🎉

We ask for everyone to take a minute to share our post. Let's all come together to show our support for Nash, Chris & Amy ❤️

---‐‐‐-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Definition of Courageous in the dictionary says... It is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, adversity and all that it encompasses, without fear...we feel it should also include a picture of Nash Vey as well.

As most of us in our community have heard, Nash, at the tender age of 13... has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma...a malignant bone cancer that originates in the cells that form bones.. Nash is currently at the Janeway undergoing his second round of chemotherapy and after completion... will travel to Toronto where, after a lengthy analysis with his physicians, specialist and his family.. will have a portion of his leg removed... to ensure he has the best chance of resuming his life's journey, without the constant fear of what lies around the corner.. To hear Chris and Amy tell the story of the process that went along with Nash making this decision, all on his own.. is proof that he will come out the other side of this... stronger and will never be ashamed of his new limb... “as it is a reminder that he was stronger than the cancer that tried to deter him”.

Anybody that knows Chris and Amy... know that nothing will stand in their way.. to guarantee that Nash has the quality of life, and opportunities to succeed, and will not allow this period of time to define his future... but they will need our help... Chris and Amy have both taken a pause from work, to spend all their time supporting and caring for Nash, so he doesn't travel this journey alone... with that comes tremendous financial burdens and this is where we, their community, friends and family can help...

On Friday, June 6th beginning at 8 am.. Mister T's Ultramar will have friends and family of Nash's pumping your gas all day and accepting donations in support of his family. Mister T's will match all those donations, which means your donation will be doubled. Together we can make a difference!

Hope the sun is shining, the parking lot is full, and for a brief moment... bring a smile and best wishes to Nash, Chris and Amy and let them know we “ Have their Backs”

Imposter syndrome has prevented me from making this post for so long, but I’m biting the bullet!

For the past couple of years, I’ve been studying to become a canine osteopath. I mainly began this program to be able to help my own dogs as they age, and I’m so thankful that I’ve been able to do that in recent months (more on that later!). While this remains my main goal, in the fall I plan to open my schedule to help other dogs who may be in need as well!

Working with dogs has been a lifelong dream that I never thought would become a reality. I’m excited to see where this journey will take me as I integrate my love for osteopathy with canines 🐶

Stay tuned!!

If you were a client between 2018-2022, you were first greeted by Cyril, who owned the clinic I was working in. This is a huge loss for our community, and will be felt by many. I’m grateful to have had him as my mentor, but most of all I’m glad I could call him a friend 💙

🎄Our Christmas Hours🎄

We will both be enjoying a well-deserved break over the course of the holidays!

Gander clinic will be closed after tomorrow until January 2nd when Sean is back in clinic, with Jaime back in Gander on the 6th. Sean has just one more fully-booked day of treatments in GFW before 2025!

We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who supported us in 2024, made our 6th year so amazing, and helped make Sean’s first few months at Evexia so busy! We can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store 🎊

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! 🥳
