The Doctors and Staff of Gander Medical Clinic sadly Acknowledge the passing of our Office manager, Christine's husband WAYNE SULEY.

Our heart go out to Christine and her and Wayne's family during this difficult time.

Christine is the leader of our Clinic Family and we are here to support her along this journey.

September 26, 1947 – July 26, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wayne Suley announces his passing at the Health Science Centre, St. Johns on Saturday July 26, 2025 at the age of 77 years.

Wayne epitomized the word family, devoting his love to his wife, his dogs, his children, grandchildren and all those he chose to surround himself with. His love for family knew no boundaries, through repeated acts of selfless gestures, whether they be big or small. A patriarch who forever put others before himself, he showered those around him with enduring kindness, a full pantry, and love in his heart.

He was predeceased by his parents Jasper & Marion; brother Neil Suley, infant brother Christopher; sisters-in-law: Mickey Baird (Suley), Mercedes Bauld, Karen Bauld; brothers-in-law: Albert O’Mahoney and Jerry Bauld.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 22 years, Christine; son Paul (Becky); daughters: Debbie (Jason), Kristina (Denny), Krystal (Tim); grandchildren: McKenzie, Noah, Georgia, Grace, Taylor, Brendan, Kaylin, Ashley, Amanda, Oliver, Orion; brother Rick; sisters: Donna, Cathy (John); brothers & sisters-in-law: Lorraine, Garry, Norman (Brenda), Yvonne (Wayne), Owen, Geraldine (William), Harry (Yetta) and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday July 30, 2025 from St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to the Gander & Area S.P.C.A.

Gander Medical Clinic welcomes Dr. Amir Gurgis, Dr. Mayowa Oluwatosin and his wife Dr. Nkiru Oluwatosin

Dr. Gurgis has been filing his practice with former Clinic Physician patients who are without a Family doctor. His receptionist is Crystal at 709-256-7101 ext. 267

Dr. Mayowa Oluwatosin is filling his practice from patients registered on NL connect. This clinic will request lists from Patient NL connect. He has currently stopped registering new patients. Please check with their office in 2-3 weeks.

I understand the frustrations of patients trying to get an answer on the Health Hub line.
The Health Hub Clinic is very busy. When you call and continuously hear the message it's because both lines are in use.
Two clinics are booked each morning beginning at 8 am and once the clinics are filled you will receive a message stating the Clinics are filled and informing you when the next registration will occur.

Please listen to the message.

There are many patients without Family Physicians and we answer calls from all across the Island.
It is not just a "Gander Health Hub"
Please have patience when calling and do not be disrespectful to the receptionist. She is just doing her job.

We have zero tolerance for disrespectful behavior, threatening behavior or bullying of any kind.

It is with great sadness that we are both closing our Family Medical Practice Clinic at the Gander Medical Clinic as of Sept. 22, 2024

Unfortunately there are no Physicians replacing us at this time.

All patient medical records will be stored when our Family Practice Clinics close. Should you require your medical records after Sept. 22, 2024 you can contact Gander Medical Clinic at 709-256-7101 to be directed.

Please contact Physician Connect NL to register and be connected to any primary care provider open to accepting new patients.
